Manufacturers, importers, and downstream users must properly classify, package, and label substances or mixtures according to the SEA Regulation before placing them on the market.
Labels must be of the size specified in the relevant regulation provisions, provide information about the substance or mixture identity, and contain appropriate hazard symbols and statements, warning words, precautionary statements, etc.
Suppliers must update labels when there is a more significant change in the hazard class of the substance or mixture and new additional label information is required.
The hazard symbols and warning information, etc., that must be included on the label should be clear and conspicuous, avoiding information overload. If more than one hazard symbol is required as a result of classification, the number of hazard symbols should be reduced according to priority.
