ECHA – European Chemicals Agency Adds Five Hazardous Chemicals to Candidate List!

European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has added five new chemical substances to the Candidate List for substances of very high concern (SVHC), bringing the total number of substances on the list to 240.

In addition, the existing Candidate List entry for Dibutyl Phthalate has been updated to include its endocrine-disrupting properties for the environment.

These chemicals are generally found in products such as inks and toners, adhesives and sealants, and washing and cleaning products.

Companies are responsible for managing the risks of these chemicals and providing customers and consumers with information on their safe use.
