Octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4), decamethylcyclopentasiloxane (D5), and dodecamethylcyclohexasiloxane (D6) have been added as entry 70 to Annex XVII of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council (REACH).

Accordingly, the substances in question, at a concentration of 0.1% in the mixture, will not be used as solvents in the dry cleaning of textiles, leather, and fur after June 6, 2026.
Provisions regarding certain specified uses of the substances and restrictions on other uses apply to sectors such as cosmetics, veterinary medicinal products, etc.
