Important Announcement on Safety Data Sheets !!!

Prior to December 31, 2023, there was uncertainty regarding the validity and adaptation process of Safety Data Sheets prepared in accordance with the Regulation on Safety Data Sheets for Hazardous Substances and Mixtures.

According to the announcement published by the Republic of Turkiye Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change on February 9, 2023; Safety Data Sheets prepared in accordance with the old regulation are valid for substances and mixtures for which there is no need for updating pursuant to Article 28, paragraph 3 of the KKDIK Regulation.

However, individuals who have prepared a Safety Data Sheet according to the old regulation must, after the document’s validity period expires; the Safety Data Sheet must be re-prepared in accordance with current legislation and uploaded to the Safety Data Sheet Notification System application in the Integrated Environmental Information System (EÇBS).

However, after the expiry of the certificate of the persons who have prepared Safety Data Sheet according to the old regulation; the Safety Data Sheet must be prepared again according to the current legislation and uploaded to the Safety Data Sheet Notification System application in the Integrated Environmental Information System (EÇBS).

This regulation, which only covers a certain percentage of Safety Data Sheet, may disrupt the sustainability of the transition process that must be implemented for the re-preparation of Safety Data Sheets.
