SME Definition Has Changed. Important Announcement for SMEs Eligible for Advantageous Registration Fee Amounts Under the KKDIK Regulation
Regulation Amending the Regulation on Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (Decision No. 10182) entered into force upon its publication in the Official Gazette dated August 7, 2025, No. 32979.
The KKDIK Regulation redefined the conditions for SMEs eligible for preferential registration fees and changed the net sales revenue and financial balance sheet amounts. Accordingly, the phrase “five hundred million” was changed to “one billion.” After the latest revision, SMEs are defined as follows:
** Small and medium-sized enterprise (SME): Enterprises with fewer than two hundred and fifty employees per year and whose annual net sales revenue or financial balance sheet does not exceed one billion Turkish Liras.
