European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) Adds Bis(α,α-dimethylbenzyl) Peroxide to Candidate List.

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has added five new chemical substances to the Candidate List for substances of very high concern (SVHC). With the new addition, the list now contains 241 entries.

The newly added chemical, bis(α,α-dimethylbenzyl) peroxide, is toxic to reproduction and is used as a processing aid, for example as a flame retardant. Companies are responsible for managing the risks of these chemicals and providing information to customers and consumers on their safe use.
